Supportive Supervision

Supervision provides a supportive space to discuss clinical experiences, ask questions, work through challenges, and build confidence as you develop your professional identity as a counselor.

Clinical Development

Strengthen your skills in case conceptualization, treatment planning, documentation, ethics, professional boundaries, risk assessment, and clinical decision-making.

Flexible Supervision Options

Individual and group supervision options are available to meet your professional development needs. Electronic individual supervision is available for eligible Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in accordance with current Florida requirements.

A Supportive Approach to Supervision

Beginning your career as a mental health counselor can be both exciting and challenging. Having a supervisor you feel comfortable talking with, asking questions, and learning from can make an important difference. My approach to supervision is supportive, collaborative, and practical. Supervision is more than completing required hours. It is an opportunity to strengthen your clinical skills, work through challenging cases, develop your professional identity, and build confidence in your clinical judgment.Supervision may include case conceptualization, treatment planning, clinical documentation, ethics and professional boundaries, risk assessment, therapeutic skills, challenging cases, professional development, and career or private-practice considerations.

Individual Supervision

Individual supervision provides dedicated time to discuss your clinical work, questions, professional development, and areas where you would like additional support. This setting can be especially valuable for discussing complex cases, ethical questions, professional challenges, or concerns that benefit from focused attention. Electronic supervision is available for eligible Florida Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns in accordance with current Florida requirements.

Group Supervision

Group supervision provides an opportunity to learn from both your own clinical experiences and the perspectives and experiences of other developing counselors. Groups may include case consultation, ethical discussions, professional development, clinical skill building, and collaborative learning.

Group supervision is offered when enough Registered Mental Health Counselor Interns are available to form an appropriate supervision group. If a group is not currently available, you may begin with individual supervision and let me know that you would like to be considered for a future group opening.

Is My Supervision Style a Good Fit for You?

You may appreciate my supervision style if you’re looking for a supervisor who values compassion, professionalism, ethical practice, continued learning, and practical guidance.

My goal is to help you become increasingly confident in your own abilities—not simply tell you what to do. We’ll explore both the clinical decisions you’re making and the reasoning behind them so you can continue developing your own professional judgment.
